>I thought it would be nice to see an example of one of my leg days. I’m always trying to mix things up but my current goal is adding more shape to my legs. To do this I am keeping the reps between 10 and 12, the only exercise I did today at 20 reps is the leg press because my back can’t take a heavy load in that position. Today I tried a workout that NLA posted on Facebook, it’s great finding workouts online because it keeps my motivation up!
Here’s what I did…..
Warm Up (very important) 10 min 8% incline 3.6mph treadmill walk
Squats 55lb 5sets x 12 reps
Between sets 30 second handstand hold (Abs)
*I added this to the workout because I’m trying to get better at these!
Walking lunges 4sets x 20 steps using 30lb bar
Abductor 4sets x 12 reps 70 lbs
Leg press 3 sets x 20 reps 90 lbs
Calf raises 3 sets x 20 reps
Romanian 1 leg squat 3 sets x 12 reps
Superset with cable 1 leg leg curl 3 sets x 12 reps 30 lbs
Front squat 3 sets x 12 reps 20lbs
Superset with leg curl machine 3 sets x 12 reps 65 lbs
**Added 40 minutes cardio on arc trainer because I have a show coming up.
Remember to stretch really well at the end and you can alter the workout to fit your needs by reducing weight or increasing the reps.
